Makeup Monday- rainy day makeup tips

When it's raining and you're out and about its best to keep makeup simple so that it will withstand the elements. Here are 3 tips to rainy day makeup: 

1. Apply a tinted primer to help smooth out fine lines & add a little colour to even out skintone. 

2. Use a splash proof or water proof mascara to prevent mascara from running. 

3. Wear a bright lipstick to brighten up your face and complete the look.

MAC makeup artist Cher Webb, is a self proclaimed mascara junkie. Here are a few tips from the Pro: 

-Always curl lashes to open the eye

- MAC mineralise mascara is a current favourite because it creates a 3-D effect 

- create volume and length with a favourite mascara then 'coat lashes with waterproof so the mascara doesn't travel'

- use the tip of the brush to coat the lashes and blend outward with a zig zag sweeping motion to create a liner effect. 

Makeup Monday- mix your own mascara

MAC Lash base de melange and MAC pigment Teal 

Navy liquid liner, black zoom lash mascara topped with teal pigment mixed with lash mixing medium. This still gives the eyes definition with a splash of turquoise accents. 

The mixing medium can be combined with any MAC pigment to create any colour requirement.
